If your nerves are running the show, how do you choose?
Do you go with noticeable pools of sweat at the armpits, or, is it more of a shifting your weight from one toe-tapping foot to the other while questioning your own sanity?`
Taking action can cause a crazy reaction.
When you’re making decisions, especially about mind-blowing, heart-stopping endeavors, emotions will come up.
I’ve faced many a gut-wrenching, this-is-going-to-change-the-direction-of-my-life decisions.
At every fork in the road there are two lanes. There’s your current life, the one you’ve been leading up until now in relative comfort. The second, unfamiliar lane will bring change.
Change is uncomfortable.
Some of us gulp in the shallow air of unchecked, rattled nerves. Or we pace the floor. We might feel soreness in different parts of our body or our lizard brain might tell us we aren’t enough. How our bodies cope with stress – especially the fear of failure – can feel paralyzing.
Have you ever felt this when it came to making a tough decision?
Maybe it isn’t a feeling – maybe you pick up your phone and space out watching dancing cat videos and upping your Instagram following to avoid making any decision.
You take no real action.
This is a common response. But indecision is a decision – one that has substantial impact on your life.
Whether it’s “big” like figuring out with whom to spend the rest of your life, “medium” such as a courageous conversation with a loved one or “small” such as writing a killer headline for a blog, many of us avoid these decisions.
Yet we all need to face the music.
I’m Mike Watts. I’ve poured through books, videos, how-to’s and movies aimed at guiding the decision process. My superpower is creating systems to make your life easier by taking the blood, sweat, tears and fears out of decision-making.
This lets you spend time working on what matters to YOU – not stressing out in analysis paralysis.
It’s not a cakewalk and old habits can die hard. If you heart feels like it’s going to pound out of your chest, instead of fear taking over while your decision making ability is curled up in the fetal position under a blankie, you’ll learn how to embrace it and take action with power and confidence.
I’ve helped hundreds of passionate entrepreneurs grow their vision and businesses into lifestyle-supporting vehicles.
Let me know if this sounds familiar. The message when I grew up was: go to college, get a great job, stay there for 30 years. That’s what I did.
After I graduated with a double major from Purdue University and a MBA from Wake Forest, I worked endless jobs and internships and took my first full time position out of college working for Philip Morris running a manufacturing bay producing cigarettes. (Yes, you could smoke in the plant. No, they didn’t encourage it.)
In December of 2008 I was called into my boss’s office. As of February of 2009, I’d be without a job.
This fork in the road was a new beginning.
In January 2009 I started my first business in the network marketing industry, with a company called USANA. Revenue at first? $0.
That crossroads marked a moment in time. Today I’m not the same man. Why?
$125,000 worth of debt is paid off, I stopped smoking, stopped drinking, stopped doing drugs, improved my eating habits, traveled the world, married Kate Northrup Watts in July 2014 and we took a three week honeymoon. Our first child, Penelope, was born in September of 2015.
Our business’ revenue topped over $600,000 for 3 years in a row It’s continuing to grow.
I’ve broken through sticky points, strategized, created marketing plans and overcame the chorus of fear and self-doubt that likes to creep in and tell you “you can’t do this” just as you’re trying something new. Something risky. Something other people may warn you about.
I’ve learned how to get out of my own way and move forward.
I’ve helped and counseled thousands of individuals to grow their businesses, improve their lifestyles, build better relationships with their partners and kids, and live a life they truly love.
And I want to help you. Here is are a few places to start if you are new here.
Hope you have a great day.

Mike Watts is an entrepreneur, speaker, husband, and father. Before becoming an all around badass by radically reinventing his own life, he used to work for Philip Morris. Today, he shows business owners how to expand their choices, do less and create the financial lives they want.
Mike wanted freedom from the traditional 9 to 5 so he became a pro at getting sh*t done. With unflagging dedication to becoming self-aware and vulnerable, he and his wife, Kate Northrup, went from debt to building a multiple six-figure business called The Freedom Family which continues its growth today.
Mike’s secret sauce is seeing how to correct inefficiencies and implement systems so entrepreneurs can do less but prosper more. He is working with business owners to make the world a better place. That starts by helping others realize they have more options than they think when it comes to their wellness, choices and financial lives.
